Alcohol use combined with poor diet, obesity, abnormally high iron levels and hepatitis c can increase the chances of getting fatty liver. There are also people who have fatty livers who donâ€™t have an illness and who donâ€™t drink. Some people can develop a fatty liver off drinking really heavily for a weekend, and the fat decreases when they stop drinking.
