C MD: If you are concerned about a possible ectopic pregnancy then you need to be checked immediately. Did they not do a pregnancy test before the ct scan? Other things like cysts, endometriosis, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, hernias can all cause those symptoms but most are detectable on a ct or a pelvic ultrasound. Not sure: it means it is not a normal pregnancy. it sounds like they are not sure if it is a type of miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. you will need close follow up to make sure. any severe pain would go to the ER just in case ...Read more
