Best tx is daily moisterization with cerave (otc), gently wash with cerave wash -no scrubbing! and twice weekly tx with an acid cream like otc amlactin 12%. Keratosis pilaris: Also known as hyperkeratosis follicularis this is a derm problem that usually starts in childhood or adolescence. There is accumulation of keratin around the small pores of the tiny hairs on the back up the upper arm and thighs, occasionally also buttocks.
