Bowenoid?: I assume you meant "bowenoid" type. Active keratosis are considered "precancers". Over time they can turn into squamous cell carcinoma, a slow growing, typically non life threatening skin cancer. Keratosis pilaris: Also known as hyperkeratosis follicularis this is a derm problem that usually starts in childhood or adolescence. There is accumulation of keratin around the small pores of the tiny hairs on the back up the upper arm and thighs, occasionally also buttocks.
