For what reason would a general doctor turn down an application to be a new patient? I just got health insurance, and now can't get in to see anyone.
Hi Doc, I need to have a 2nd xray examination for my 2nd job application. Question is, is it okay? Thank you.
Most likely okay: Did you have a Chest Xray for 1st job application? If so, no need to have repeat Chest Xray. You did not say what the 2nd xray is, but the only xray I am aware would be required for Teachers/medical personnel would be a Chest Xray. If this is another xray, please let me know what it is. It is hard to comment without knowing what xray and for what reason, in order to tell you if it is ok. ...Read more

I have a 3-4 day black eye. I was doing cold and hot application on the eye So it can heal faster. Saw a ER doc on my 4th day and she said no point.?
Use logic: I am going to assume that the eye underneath is untouched and sees well - so the only problem is the skin around the eye. The usual rule for a contusion like this is to apply cold for 2-3 days which staunches bleeding and minimizes swelling. After that heat will accelerate the healing and absorption of what blood has leaked into the tissues. Hot and then cold repeatedly is not logical. ...Read more

Quantification: Radial immunodiffusion can help detect quantity or concentration of a protein. The benefit is that it is relatively inexpensive to perform and pretty reliable in experienced hands. Newer methods are sometimes used, but can be more expensive or involve more technical expertise. (e.g.to quantify some antibody/components, nephelometry can give more precise information at detecting small quantities) ...Read more

Permethrin: Is usually applied once and repeated in 1-2 weeks. Treatment of family members and decontamination of your home is very important so that repeated doses beyond the two above can be avoided. Overkill treatment: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation (red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad.
