On TriNessa, (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) wondering how effective it is at preventing pregnancy? Do you ovulate while taking the pill? I never miss pills and always take at 10:30.

Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you were to ovulate on the pill, how would you know when you would ovulate? By how long your cycle is? I have a 28 day cycle.

Hard to know: I don't believe there have been any studies looking at ovulation times on the pill because it is supposed to prevent ovulation. So to answer your question, the only way to know when you would be most fertile is to know "if" you ovulated and when, by using an ovulation test or measuring your am temperature and watch for a spike in temp. Discharge: Remember when you ovulate you have a chance if pregnancy. The whole point of the pill is to alter the hormone levels so the estrogen doe not surge and thus you do not ovulate so in theory no pregnancy.
