See a surgeon: Groin hernias are the result of weakness of the abdominal wall. More common in men. Usually have a buldge/pain in groin. Can have pain radiate to testicle as well. Isolated pain in the testicle without other findings would concern me it could be related to a problem with testicle. Possibly: The hernia that forms in young females is umbilical in origin. Occassionally small defect at site allows knuckle of bowel or omentum to catch into remnant of hernia repair. Short answer: yes: If you still have an intact salpynx (tube and ovary), it is possible to get infected, twist on itself or have an ectopic pregnancy develop.
