May not be pneumonia: If you are an otherwsie healthy patient the liklhood that you would have recurrent infection with the sam bacteria is not lilely. More likely is that you have an ellemnt of allergies or possibly asthma that predispose to prolonged and recurrent episodes of congestion. Not contagious..: There is not an absolute moment one can predict when one is no longer contagious with an infectious disease like pneumonia. We generally believe and say it is when you no longer have a fever. After 7 days on antibiotics, you are likely not contagious.
