Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

For what reasons would a woman get pregnant on the 7 day break while taking a combination pill?

For what reasons would a woman get pregnant on the 7 day break while taking a combination pill?

One wouldn't: While the pill doesn't completely stop ovulation, you don't get pregnant on the 7 day pill free time. Conception while on the pill is usually due to missing pills or taking them late and occasionally because of taking other things that interfere with their effectiveness. Hope this helps. ...Read more

What to do if I have missed a pill the day before my 7 day break, could I be pregnant?

What to do if I have missed a pill the day before my 7 day break, could I be pregnant?

Stay calm: Ovulation happens (which it won't on birth control pills) around midcycle, i.e., around the time 2 weeks of active pills have been completed. The window for conception is about 24 hours. Missing a pill before the 7 day break happens so late that it does not have an impact other than shortening the pill cycle by one day. ...Read more

Can I be pregnant if he pulled out and the condom didn't break?

Can I be pregnant if he pulled out and the condom didn't break?

Withdrawal during: Well Veronica, what you're describing is two different types of birth control, withdrawal method and barrier method(condom). Withdrawal is not very effective, about 75% to 85% of the time this works and condoms also work about 85% of the time. So there is a slight chance you could be pregnant but I would take your odds of not being pregnant to Vegas any time. Good luck :) ...Read more

Is it true that your face breaks out when your pregnant? I thought your face gets clear instead

Is it true that your face breaks out when your pregnant? I thought your face gets clear instead

Depends: The way a body reacts to pregnancy is highly dependent on the individual. Many women who have hormonal acne that comes and goes with particular times in their cycle will notice clearing of skin during pregnancy. Other women notice a significant increase in acne during pregnancy. It's impossible to tell how your body will react unless you've been pregnant before. ...Read more

Aight. We put a new ring in after the 1 week break and had unprotected sex. Can she be pregnant?

Aight. We put a new ring in after the 1 week break and had unprotected sex. Can she be pregnant?

Yes: Consider that there is no such thing or day of unprotected intercourse that is completely 'safe' from pregnancy. Having said that, if she took NuvaRing out for one week and then put one in, your chances of pregnancy are super low. Like 4%. If pregnancy is undesired, consider a back up method as well, like condoms. Good luck! ...Read more

My husband & I use a condom everytime. None have broken (i check). Can you still get pregnant if they don't break? If so, how is it possible?

The Birds ; The Bees: To get pregnant a female has to be exposed to fresh semen during ovulation. It sounds like you already know the answer to your question. One cannot get pregnant immaculately. Wearing a condom every time means you were not exposed to semen and thus cannot get pregnant. Right? ...Read more

Currently on 7 day break with microphone pill and due to take first pill of rigevidon on sunday, will i be protected don't want to risk pregnancy?

SHould be okay: If you've been without a pill for 7 days and plan to start a new pack on sunday (assuming that is day #8) then you should be okay to have unprotected sex. If you want to be 100% certain, then wait 7 days after starting that new pack to have unprotected intercourse. Hope that helps! ...Read more

Travel: There is a risk for anyone who takes a long distance car ride of developing clots in their lower extremities .
