Something else: Mites bites or more likely scabies would not likely be restricted to the penis alone. Sometimes a yeast infection may produce itching especially if you are uncircumcised. Be sure to check if your female partner may have a yeast infection and therefore infecting you. If you use a condom, be sure that you are not allergic to latex or rubber. ...Read more

I had hives in August, they healed but my skin is itchy off and on. Now I have red itchy bumps in lines of 2 or 3 on my arm. Mites? Husband is fine.

I had hives in August, they healed but my skin is itchy off and on. Now I have red itchy bumps in lines of 2 or 3 on my arm. Mites? Husband is fine.

Continued histamine: Very likely the immune reaction which caused the hives, with histamine release, is still somewhat active. I doubt you have mites or any insect problem. Continue using the anti-histamines you were likely treated with (Benadryl?, Allegra (fexofenadine)?) or OTC topical cortisone as needed to control your current red itchy bumps. Best wishes! ...Read more

I have dry, flaky cheeks. And also I have pale skin sometimes I do have pimples. My skin gets irritated and red easily. Can this be demodex mites?

Unknown if cause: Or coincidental. Studies have found that about 40% of people have the mites on their skin, and they are more frequently seen on people with psoriasis, rosacea and acne than healthy skin, but no studies to proven cause and effect or whether the increased sebum in those conditions is conducive to growth. Permethrin or 5% tea tree oil may improve the inflammation if used for several weeks. ...Read more

Complain from spider bite at thighwith redness and hotness at bite area;leading to face swilling ;can do lactate my baby?

Go see ur Family Doc: I will defer to my more learned colleagues as to whether you should lactate your infant or not in your current situation. However, I'm more concerned that you haven't been evaluated & treated for possible cellulitis (some antibiotics should not be taken when lactating). So my priority is to urge you to get seen now. ...Read more

I think I got bit by a spider last night my leg was painful and there was a red hard lump. Today it's still very tender and the redness has grown?

I think I got bit by a spider last night my leg was painful and there was a red hard lump. Today it's still very tender and the redness has grown?

SPIDER BITE: All spiders contain venom... it is how they kill their prey. Most venom is histo-toxic... It inflames & at times destroys tissue. The redness represents the venom 'leeching' out from bite site. Sometimes the redness will become black in the middle & 'follow' the redness. The size of spider bite wounds should be VERY CLOSELY monitored to make sure they are healing properly! ...Read more

See your doctor: If it is not infected, it will get better in a few days. But it can be very difficult to tell if it is infected or just inflamed, so it would be best to see your doctor. Eyelid infections can be very serious- can spread to the eye- so they should be checked. ...Read more
