Even more rare are fetal ovarian dermoid tumors (teratomas). Get maternal-fetal medicine consultation! ...Read more

Likely very good: At the time of ovulation, there will always be a cyst about an inch in diameter. That cyst will rupture (and leak) to release the egg, which could be fertilized if you are sexually active and without protection. After ovulation the cyst may enlarge up to 3 or 4 inches, and still be normal. Before having surgery for an ovarian cyst, see your gynecologist, most ovarian cysts do not require surgery. ...Read more

Tubes tied and ovarian cysts with no period since may what could this mean? Had a baby in april this year

Not sure: Without a history I can't tell what is going on. You had a baby in April and sometimes some women do not get their periods until months after a pregnancy. If you are breastfeeding, that may be the cause of your amenorrhea. The cysts you mention may be normal cysts or may signify another process. Tying tubes does not affect your period. You will need to be evaluated by an OBGYN for diagnosis. ...Read more

Since I ruptured my left ovarian cyst does that mean I can't get pregnant? Because already we are trying for baby. Llast 6month. Still I don't get pregn

No prob: Every month, the ovary selects an egg to mature, a follicle is made, and then the egg is ovulated for fertilization. A cyst is a follicle that did not rupture for normal ovulation. Now that you have gotten rid of last month's egg, you start the new egg maturation process over again. Refer to baby-making 101 discussion in my profile. Relax, optimize fertilization times, and good luck! ...Read more
