Do Normal Cbcs Mean You Have A Healthy Heart
Good but...: ... I'd be even more happy to hear that in addition, you are not having syncopal attacks or chest pain, and can keep up with other aerobically fit people of your age and younger. We have a saying in pathology, "look at the person more than the tests and the special studies." glad you're taking a proactive approach, and good luck. ...Read more
Heart health is important, especially as we age. To prevent multiple heart conditions including but not limited to high blood pressure, heart attacks, arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure, small changes in daily habits are necessary. These changes can include eating healthy, exercising, managing stress levels, limiting alcohol and tobacco intake, ...Read more
Do i still have to worry for heart attack/stroke even if I have normal 2decho, ECG and stress test but high cholesterol, normal BP preeclampsia 2011?
Does a normal EKG mean my heart is fine? I had mild symptoms of heart disease, so my doctor did an ekg. It was normal. Does this mean i definitely don’t have heart disease?
In a way yes: Since you have a normal ekg it means that you did not have a heart attack in the past. However a notmal ekg cannot r/o coronary artery disease. Stress test and echocardiography should be done to assess your coronary arteries and your cardiac structure. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Do i need to worry about sca if my EKG is normal(only shows fast heartbeat)..Normal echo shows normal function..Normal stress test and good blood work?
Do I have any reason to worry about sca/or heart attack at age 28? Normal ekgs, normal echo shows normal function, normal stress test and blood work?!
Heart attack prevent: You are too young to have a heart attack unless drugs are involved (meth) or significant family history of premature cardiovascular disease. You're on oxycodone. Chronic pain can cause palpitations. Exercise will strengthen your health. Stay out of trouble. You shud be fine. Your chest pain and cough may be due to undiagnosed asthma or just plain anxiety. Check with your doctor. Test your lungs. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
No:CholesterolPartOf: every cell membrane, not correct issue. In US autopsy studies, >8 decades, 1/2 of population has atherosclerosis ~age 7, yet no symptoms for decades; in wall of arteries & arteries enlarge: http://goo.gl/aRhOU2 Most people in US have "normal" cholesterol values (~170 mg.dL) prior to their 1st obvious heart attack (most are subclinical-missed). Why do I get altitude illness if i'm in very good shape? I had blood test and am not anemic with a normal RBC count.
Don't tough it: Altitude sickness is poorly understood but people's suceptibility to it has little or nothing to do with overall physical conditioning. It's more dangerous than people think. Take your time going to altiltude. ...Read more
I have a marked enlarged heart since 2010 and had it checked out normal heart cath normal stress test normal ecg i have hypertension. Doc not worried?
I would look further: You are young and have signs of an enlarged heart. I would be aggressive and I would want to see and echo report and make sure you do not have sleep apnea . Your blood pressure should be very well controlled by maximizing lifestyle: nutrition to lower, exercise, stress relief, great sleep. Stay on top of this, ok? ...Read more
Not much: Valvular endocarditis is an infection needing systemic antibiotics and possible surgery. A normal CBC does not have any relationship to the infection. It may be normal or high WBC or low wbc. There may be anemia or not. Same with platelets. If there is an abnormality of CBC with onset of endocarditis a normal CBC may reflect the pt is responding to treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I had 2 normal ekg, normal echo and a good heart monitor results does that mean I am ok with my heart.
I'm just wondering, if you always have good normal, low blood pressure, are you likely absent of heart disease?
Not necessarily: Hypertension is just one of the risk factors for heart disease. If you have a normal blood pressure but weigh 300 pounds, smoke two packs per day, have diabetes, have a high cholesterol, and are a couch potato, the normal blood pressure will probably not be very protective. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Normal EKG and echo. Does that mean my chances of having CAD is low? If i had cad, wouldn't my echo findings have been abnormal? If not then why?
Worried about my heart, normal ekgs(just fast), echo and stress test, chest xray good, blood work normal. Do I have any need to worry?!
I passed a stress echocardiography with all normal results including normal imaging. What does that mean? What does passing say about my heart health?
Can handle stress: A normal stress echo shows that the heart is behaving in a physiologically normal way during a physical stress. It implies that coronary circulation as well as contractility can handle physiologic stress adequately. It tells us that if chest pains are occurring that they are unlikely to be due to significant coronary disease, and that the risk of a heart attack is low in the near term. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
