I was bitten by my cat about 17 days ago. Didnt get a tetanus shot until about 1&1/2 wks. Later the site looks fine. But im having burning. And discomfort in my spine. Do you think it could be the tetanus bacteria.?

I got a tetanus shot on Friday and it now has a large red circle that is raised. It is burning/itchy/red. Also have latex allergy - bandaid maybe?

Tenderness also common for a couple of days. Can try cool compress on area, gentle massage, but take it as a sign that your body is mounting an appropriate response to the vaccine. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
