ADD, anxiety & Trt: Stimulants like Ritalin (methylphenidate) can improve attention deficit disorder related reduced concentration, but stimulants can increase anxiety. You can get a genetic test (e.g. Genesight by assurexhealth.Com) using a cheek swab to identify what psychiatric medications (stimulants, antidepressants and atypical neuroleptics) you are more likely to tolerate and respond. Not sure: Not sure how we can help you here. My advice is to avoid taking narcotic opiate pain medication, because with all of your problems, you may set yourself up for drug dependencies down the road. Another bit of advice, try and figure out what form of exercise you can consistently tolerate and get yourself in a routine. Eat a proper and balanced diet. You are not necessarily doomed. Yes, but...: There's no medical reason these can't be taken together. However, they may "fight" each other: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is a stimulant that can add to anxiety, whereas Klonopin is a sedating tranquilizer that can worsen your attention and concentration. Your doctor would need to monitor your situation closely with this combination to make sure it's helping and not hurting. There are alternatives for each, too. ...Read more
