Current AAP recom- : mendations are 400 IU oral Vitamin D daily for bottle-fed infants till they take 32 oz./day of Vitamin-D fortified formula. Sun exposure is not recommended till 6 mos. when daily use of SPF 30 is recommended by dermatologists. Cradle cap: topical steroids can be absorbed through skin over time. Yes: Yes, of course you can do that depending upon the reason. If you are hyerparathyroid, or have hypercalcemia then follow your doctor's advice. If you are simply doing what you can to have healthy bones and muscle or are being treated for thinning bones, then you may take those together or separately. Also, magnesium, zinc, iron and ascorbic acid (vitamin c) are needed to help create bone too. ...Read more

2000 u vit d: Take 2000 units vitamin d3/day and forget the omega 3's - or find them somewhere else if you feel you must have them. Eat healthy and exercise. I doubt there is a quality combo pill available. Eating healthy is a lot easier and cheaper than vitamin shopping. ...Read more

Little. Key: get D3: ?? enough. D3 is essential for absorption of Ca+2, from food, supplement pills poorly absorbed. Desirable D3 conc. 70-80 ng/ml; generally wait ~3 months between checks. Reasonable replacement doses ~35,000 to 60,000 IU per week. Most OTC D3 supplements, in my experience, not very effective; search for a quality preparation. A common source is lanolin from sheep raised for their wool. ...Read more

Depends: As long as you are not on anticoagulation ginkgo and ginseng can be taken with limited issues. Be careful with cod liver oil as while it may provide vitamin D and vitamin A, there are better sources of vitamin D. Vitamin A is a particularly finicky vitamin where too much and too little really can create problems, so it much benefit you to avoid supplementation without a known deficiency. ...Read more
