Do Hair Skin And Nails Vitamins Really Work
Depends on the: Supplement, some really do help. I have done research on Viviscal and great results
I used to take hair nails and skin vitamins but haven't taken them in a long time, if I start taking them again how long will it take to work?
Hair skin & nails: Many nutrients are needed for healthy hair, skin and nails. While biotin may help with those who are deficient, biotin deficiency is rare. Hair, skin and nails vitamins generally contain biotin along with a mulitivitamin and other nutrients that support health. There may be multiple products named Hair Skin and Nails but one of the better ones is Nature's Bounty Optimal Solutions.
On hair, skin and nails vitamins with 3000 mcg of biotin for at least 4 years now.@1daily for 2 months and then a break. Can I go up to 5000 mcgbiotin?
Yes, totally safe: Biotin is extremely safe, in fact there is absolutely no known toxicity from any amount of biotin. 5000 mcg may sound like a lot, but it's the same as 5 mg, which may not sound like much. Whether it helps you is another question; it will help if you are deficient but deficiency is uncommon. Advise continuing the Skin, Hair and Nails vitamin too. See http://lpi. Oregonstate. Would hair skin and nails vitamins be more beneficial than biotin pills? (heard online that biotin pills cause hair growth in areas such as legs, arms
Now, think about it: You want something to help hair/nails/skin but you are worried that it will cause hair growth where you don't want it. Certainly no supplements will preferentially aid growth in only specific areas! There is some evidence that biotin does improve keratin infrastructure important in healthy hair/nails. But not clear any better than the right amount of other B vitamins best obtained in healthy diet
Biotin: Hair and nail supplements main ingredient is biotin.
Biotin: There are several products in the market designed for hair, skin and nails. Most focus on a balance if biotin, lutein and amino acids.
Follow directions: There are dozens of vitamins for hair, skin ; nails. Some are meant to take 1 a day, some might be designed to take up to 6/day. It is impossible for anyone here to answer without knowing the exact vitamin you bought, but directions on how to take it should be on the label. Don't overdo, as too high a dose of some nutrients can be harmful, esp. For women of childbearing age.
Can I take blackmores hair skin and nails at the same time as taking blackmores bio zinc vitamins?
Should be OK: I checked the manufacturers website for active ingredients. Bio zinc has zinc, magnesium, manganese, vit a, & vit b6. Hair, skin, nails has silica, vit c, horsetail extract (?), folic acid, vit b5, iron, biotin, betacarotene, & also has zinc & manganese, but in amnts that would be safe combined with the other supplement. Supplements are drugs and may interfere with other meds--be sure to check.
I'm just starting menopause and seem to be loosing hair. Help! I take a good vitamin for hair, skin and nails and a good multi vitamin as well.

Perfectil has Vitamins B2, B3 Biotin; and Minerals selenium and zinc These products are not substitute for a proper diet. it is best to get your vitamins from healthy foods B vitamins are naturally found in leafy greens and other vegetables, meat, fish, poultry, and enriched breads/cereal
Can taking biotin with other vitamins that aid in the growth of hair, skin and nails be harmful together?
Not harmful: Also not useful. You are wasting your money. No vitamins do what you describe. Biotin is strictly a sucker game.

I take a multivitamin daily and since I do a lot to my hair I was thinking of taking a hair, skin, and nails vitamin as well. Is it safe?
Listen to your body: Look at the total amounts of the vitamins and minerals in the combined supplements. Look at the level of true vit a which shouldn't be greater than 5, 000 units if you might become pregnant. Zinc shouldn't be greater than 50 mg. If the combination makes you feel ill in anyway don't take both.
My doctor told me to start taking a hair, skin, and nails vitamin. Can I take it at the same time (with dinner) as my daily multi-vitamin?
Yes: You can take the vitamin with your multivitamin. Usually it is a Biotin complex.
Is it safe to take nature s bounty hair skin and nails while I m breastfeeding instead of a prenatal vitamin?
You should: You should ask your obstetrician because they want you to do certain things while you are pregnant.
Vitamins?: It is commonly recommended to continue on your prenatal vitamins the duration of breast feeding. I am unclear what vitamins are in the gummy vitamins but if they are multivitamins then they should be fine. Always consult with your doctor if you are ever unsure about something of this nature. Bring the bottles with you if all medications you child is taking at every visit. I hope this helps.
