If you have genital warts and get them treated and they go away, if you decide to get pregnant will they come back for sure on anyone?

Not necessarily: Warts are tricky as they can appear to be gone but actually are not and will grow back, so it takes persistence in eradicating warts but they can be treated successfully.
And, no, pregnancy does not in and of itself cause warts to grow back. ...Read more

Can genital warts come back after having protected sex with someone? Hpv was dormant for two years. No warts. Until protected sex with a new partner....

HPV: Hpv is caused by a virus. I suggest that rather than them coming back, you have a recurrance. As dr fowler points out, there are many strains of virus and you could become infected with a new strain. When you have them removed, you only have the warts that are visual removed. Some warts are invisible even with a careful exam and colposcopy.

I suggest that you discuss this situation with your physician, who may have information about the previous hpv that could help answer your questions. Best wishes. ...Read more

If I have HPV that causes genital warts can my immune system ever surpress it so that it does not come back?

If I have HPV that causes genital warts can my immune system ever surpress it so that it does not come back?

MAYBE: These strains often clear eventually with or without treatment. However, they are from a family of viruses that tend to persist in your body for life, seen or unseen. The potential for a recurrence of visible lesions remains. Unfortunately, these strains are not killed off or suppressed by current anti-virals. Vaccines given prior to any sexual activity remains the best way to avoid the issue. ...Read more

Why are my genital warts coming back. It's been awhile since I've seen them but now they're back

Why are my genital warts coming back. It's been awhile since I've seen them but now they're back

No special reason: First, see a doctor to confirm the diagnosis. Assuming you have warts again: Genital warts (or common warts of the hands, feet, etc) sometimes recur. There is rarely any known cause; it's a random event. Just see your doctor for advice about treatment. Once cleared this time, they probably won't recur again. Don't freak out; genital warts are an inconvenience, usually not a serious health threat. ...Read more
