Haven't had gallstone attack for months but last 3 days had mild aching with moderate pain. Why would this be happening? Its never lasted so long.

Doubt cancer: Cancer usually doesn't cause pain. Even though the pain does not come after eating, it could be your gallbladder. See your primary care provider, and ask if its appropriate to get an ultrasound of the gallbladder. Even without stones, there's something called biliary dyskinesia that could be the problem. Bottom right and left rib sometimes feels sore/achy both at the front and back. Ultrasound for gallstones, liver, pancreas and kidneys clear.
