I have a cold sore and around my mouth itches bad. It is swollen as well. I also have a knot under my chin that hurts. I have a slight fever as well.?
Oral herpes: This sounds like a fairly severe oral herpes infection, probably your first one, right? Not a reucrrent cold sore? You should be on an anti-herpes drug by mouth, such as valacyclovir or acyclovir. Discuss with doctor ASAP; treatment must be started early to do any good.
