Possibly: Autoimmune diseases tend to occur together, so checking for antibodies for type 1 dm can be helpful to assess for that diagnosis. Glucose tolerance should not fluctuate with a flare in gad/insulin/islet abs. It it more likely to be from treatment of the autoimmune flare (steroids) or stress from the flare. ...Read more
