Do Baby Gas Drops Make Them Sleep Long Time
I have a week old baby that can't sleep. He wakes up making whiny noises like if he's uncomfortable. I gave him gas drops but didn't help, what to do?
See pediatrician: To discuss feding. If not breast fed, try a non milk formula.
Yes: Gas can be uncomfortable for newborns and can cause them to wake. However, 7 week olds may not be sleeping for other reasons as well. First question is how often is your baby sleeping. You likely have an 2 month well check coming up with your pediatrician and this is a great time to discuss sleep in detail so your current feeding/sleeping schedule can be reviewed.
Good latch: Making sure your baby has a good latch so they aren't gulping air will help. That being said some babies are "gulpers" and swallow lots of air no matter how good the latch is.See 1 more doctor answer

My stomach grumbles all the time especially when I'm in class and when I lay down to sleep at night. One reason for this may be because I feel very ga?
Gas: Hi TPierce, Sorry to hear you are feeling uncomfortable. I hope I am interpreting your usage of the word "grumbling" correctly, but it is a normal thing to feel and merely indicates that your intestines are contracting or moving - as they should. If you are having "gas", there are ways to change your eating habits to minimize it. Here is an article for more info. Http://wb. Md/2hNY0Na
1960's, as a child I recall at the dentist a horrible smelling sleeping gas (ether?), unpleasant way to be put out. Does current anesthesia feel better
What can cause severe gas buildup when. Sleeping? I wake up 2-3 times a week in agony. Gas meds make it worse. I have diagnosis of IBS and gasrtrioparisis
My 6 month old sleeps 1-3 hours and wakes up crying. I have to hold her upright to sleep. We tried gas drops, gripe water, now chamomille tea. Now what?
Check her ears: "jack-in-the-box" syndrome is often seen in kids w/ ear infection or ear pain. After being down for 90min, they pop up screaming. Then ear pressure is reduced & they return to sleep only to repeat the cycle all night or w/each nap. Reflux is certainly also possible for the same reason. Pressure in the head and stomach build when lying flat. Check in with your pediatrician.See 1 more doctor answer
I drunk 42oz drink before I found out it had caffeine 2 days ago. My 7 wk old baby won't sleep today and lots of gas could it be from that?
Gas breast feed: It certainly could be the reason and it should resolve after a day or two.
My LO is 4 weeks old and she is grunting and straining all night and all day. When I put her to sleep she is fine for one hour but after that she starts grunting and straining. I tried giving her gas drops and gripe water but I guess this helped only for
May be her normal: Infants often make odd sounds and seem to strain in the usual course of their day. If she is feeding, sleeping, stooling and growing okay I would not assume she is in pain. If the process bothers you enough, have her doc examine her to see if there is any issues to treat, if not, let her be.
My 12 day old daughter won't sleep. She seems fussyt. Last night she had her fists clenched. I gave her gas drops not sure it helped. Spits up a lot?
See pediatrician: A 12 day old can have many reasons for not sleeping. Reflux needs to be treated if that is the cause. But there are also ways to switch the days and nights. Due to the young age you should see your pediatrician to discuss this after a complete physical exam and weight check.See 1 more doctor answer

Getfurther evaluated: It's normal to be concerned about your health, and to worry why you feel bad. The possibilities are numerous--ranging from acid reflux (i.e., heartburn) or a peptic ulcer to pancreatic or biliary disease ; even stress. Alarm signs include weight loss, bleeding, recurrent vomiting, significant tenderness. Whatever the cause, you're appropriately anxious about it ; should seek help from your doctor.
10 week baby is fussy and trying to lift up while laying down. Eats well but not sleeping. Try's to bring hand to mouth. Is this bacuase of gas?
My 4 month old baby gas silent reflux and seems to always have phlem in his throat it's not in his lungs or chest as the dr told me why is this?
Newborn Sleep: Upto 14 to 16 hours in 24 hours.See 1 more doctor answer
6-8 hours: A four month old baby can sleep from 10 pm to 6 am. Up until four months a baby will usually be up once between 10 pm and 6 am. If a baby is not sleeping through the night by 4 months then I discuss with parents how to achieve that. A baby sleeping in your room or in your bed may not easily sleep all night.See 1 more doctor answer
Any age: Children's gas drops (most contain Simethicone & others are "homeopathic") are often okay to give to young infants, including newborns. However, you should read the indications & instructions for any product and consult your Pediatrician if you feel something more serious could be going on.
