Do Babies Sleep More When Teething
My almost 9 months baby wants to breastfed all night long. What can my wife do to help him sleep more. He used to wake up once but teething didn't help?
See below: Babies can get into feeding habits that aren't ideal, but both of you can help fix it. First, at daytime feedings, let him nurse til he won't take more, then offer a balanced baby food diet after each breastfeeding until full.Whatever amount fills him up is the right amount. At night, he needs to fall asleep in his crib by himself (even if he cries). Stop feeding him at night and he'll stop asking. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Baby 7 months old&for the past month or so he moans&goes back&forth from his side to back when sleeping&this sometimes wakes him up. Teething symptom?

My 7 month baby is teething and cry while in sleep and chew objects.Wot medicine we should give him for easy teething and relieve gums?
Wait; no benzocaine: There are many soothing remedies. I have to disagree with my colleagues here. Whatever you do, avoid using numbing gels like anbesol or orajel. Anything that contains Benzocaine can precipitate a rare but dangerous reaction called methemoglobinemia. http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm306062.htm. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
8mth old baby is teething, not really wanting to eat, refuses bottle sometimes &fussy, and seems to want to sleep more? No fever, should I be worried?
No, but you should: have your pediatrician check the baby out if it's lasted for more than a few days after (s)he developed the rash of Fifth Disease. The rash can last for weeks, but any sore throat, nausea or headache should start to subside once the rash appears. Teething as a cause for changes in behavior, feeding & sleeping is a diagnosis of exclusion. ...Read more
