Attempts to alter the appearance of these types of skin lesions will likely be ineffective at best, or leave an undesirable appearance/scar. Something else? : I wonder if you've had an injury to that area of the birthmark. Depending on the location of the birthmark, something could be going on in that area. For example, if over your wrist, could it be a sprained wrist that's the problem? I always advise that concerns are brought to your doctor. Consider a consultation with a dermatologist as well.
