Do a lot of people get armpit pain or is that a weird symptom?

Common: The armpit (axilla) has a lot going on in a small space...All the muscles, blood vessels, and nerves that connect the arm to the torso traverse this space, there are a lot of lymph nodes, plus there are many specialized skin glands. Axillary pain can be related to any of these structures. If there are no obvious "lumps" or areas of swelling, it is usually of musculoskeletal origin. ...Read more

Armpit pain and swollen, a week before this my massage therapist and i had frottage. Is this a symptom of hiv?

Hiv can cause swollen lymph glands but they are usually non-tender. You should see your physician to examen the area. If it is an abscess, a small incision, after numbing the skin, to let the pus drain will usually cure it. Don't attempt to do this yourself! ...Read more

I had an abortion a year and a half ago and now two weeks per month I still have severe breast and armpit pain. How can I get rid of it? Thank you.

Not related: The pain you describe would not be related to the procedure 18 months ago. What you describe may be breast pain due to fibrocystic breast disease (FCBD). That pain should improve with vitamin E. Vitamin E when taken for breast pain due to FCBD usually responds to doses of 800 to 1000 IU (international units) taken each day. Good luck. ...Read more

Ive had armpit pain (both pits) for a few days. i dont feel sick. they are sore, no lumps or anything. i did just get off my period. ?

I would not put: it past your period to cause all kinds of weird symptoms. However any change in your menstrual symptoms warrants a pregnancy test and recheck in 1-2 weeks. If they are both negative, and you do not feel morning sickness, then watch to see if the axillary (aka fancy term for armpit) pain would go away spontaneously. If it doesn't, then it's time to visit the healthcare professional for help. ...Read more

Contracted flu like virus in Dec, all symptoms gone except armpit pain both sides. Doc checked - no lumps after exam but still sore esp morn/evening ?

BP management: If you are having pain during the daytime, perhaps it is related to muscular strain. If there are any masses, lymph nodes which can be felt, I would suggest a follow up visit with your PCP. This problem is unlikely to be related to the flu illness which you had in December. Since you have high BP, then regular check ups are indicated. ...Read more
