How many times can I take mebendazole, if I already took 3x1 dose for the prescription. (like weeks after) but I still have worm infection?

No limit, but: If the treatment is not working, the assumption that you have pin worms may be wrong. Peri-anal itching is common to many food intolerance and other problems. It might be worth a real PW test to see if they are there. Mebendazole is a simple neuro-toxin to the worm and is given for prolonged periods at higher doses to treat other types of infections. ...Read more

Don't scratch: The pinworms will die quickly. However, the problem with having an itchy butt is the "itch-scratch" cycle: you scratch, which makes you itch, which makes you scratch, and so on. The key is to leave your butt alone: don't scratch, don't overwipe, and don't wash with soap. Easier said than done, but it will get better. ...Read more

I finished Vermox medication 5 days ago and the itching does not stop. Why?

?? pinworms??: Itching has little to do with live pinworms. It is caused by a skin reaction to the glue like material in which PW eggs are deposited around the anus.
