Do 1 Day Yeast Infection Treatments Work
I have a question about yeast infection, took a one day treatment, six days later and symptoms are still present?
Infections are invasions of some other organism (fungus, bacteria, parasite) or viruses into places where they do not belong. For instance, we have normal gut bacteria that live within us without causing problems; however, when those penetrate the bowel wall and enter the bloodstream, ...Read more
Ok I think I have a yeast infection I done a one day OTC treatment and was wondering how long til it starts to relieve the itching, burning and pain?
Had a yeast infection before, had sex while on fluconazole on day 6 of treatment. Is that why I have a current one 3 weeks later? Treating now.
Recurrent yeast: I doubt this had anything to do with it. I suspect, however, that yeast 'likes you' for some reason - and I would try to find out 'why'. For example - have you been checked for diabetes? How about recent antibiotics? You should have a complete check up to identify 'why' this occurred. To me, it means something and I would want to find out. Hope you recover soon. ...Read more

No butts about it!!: You gotta rash there? Any blisters? That burning could be Herpes. Don't freak! Just have it looked-at. It has a pretty typical look: lotta redness and small blisters. Persistent yeast infection unresponsive to one time doses of fluconazole and itraconazole. Now have rash on perineum. Do I need a longer treatment?
Resistant yeast: Some yeast strains are resistant to all the "azole" drugs, and more prolonged treatment won't help. Your diagnosis needs to be confirmed by a doctor who understands resistant yeast; follow his or her advice on treatment. Good luck! ...Read more
Is it ok to do 2, 3-day yeast infection treatments back-to-back? And how long does it take for symptoms to disappear?
Yes, but: After finishing a 3 day yeast infection treatment most women will notice that most of their symptoms of itching and cottage cheese discharge have improved a lot. It can take several more days for the yeast symptoms to be completely gone. If they are partly improved, then it's ok to take a second 3 day course. If they're only a little better then it may not be a yeast infection - get checked. ...Read more
