If I have a nicotine test in 5 days, and I smoked a couple of cigarettes today will I be able to pass?
Maybe, or not: There are several variables which effect the amount of cotinine, the byproduct of nicotine, which is measured. Second hand smoke may cause an elevation of the cotinine level. A big time heavy smoker, may have an evaluated level of weeks. Since even second hand smoke can elevate the cotinine, the issue of passing a test depends on the cutoff level from the tester. ...Read more

Two weeks is sufficient time for nicotine and its metabolite cotinine to clear out of your system, as long as you avoid exposure to all nicotine, including gum or patches and passive smoke.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Not likely: Oral swabs stay positive for the longest of the body fluids, and generally become negative before one week. Blood and urine are generally negative after 3-4 days. I have a nicotine test at a hospital. What type of testing will they do and long before it will be out of my system?
I quit somoking for 20 days then smoked a pack a day for 3 days my question is would I be able to pass urine nicotine test in 7 days after?
Don't use nicotine: If you are smoking or chewing tobacco and your employer (or whoever) is testing for it, it is going to test positive unless you quit. Cotinine, the main metabolite that is usually tested for, will remain positive 3-4 days in most tests, up to a week for more sensitive tests. You can find websites on "beating" tests, but most of these don't work, and testing companies now test for them/ ...Read more
Not smoke!!: If you are asking how to "beat" the test, it would be unethical for any physician to give you advice on that. The way to pass ANY drug test is to NOT use that drug. Moreover, it is far more important to actually stop using tobacco products because they remain the number one preventible cause of death in the western world (and increasingly in developing nations). Stop BEFORE cancer, heart disease. ...Read more
I had a few puffs of an e-cig (17-24mgs of nicotine) on Friday and have to take a nicotine test tomorrow. Will I be able to pass?
Hard to say: Depends on what test they are using, and you don't say which Friday you are talking about, what tomorrow is. If you are talking about having had a few puffs on 11/25/16 (a Friday) and then having a test tomorrow (11/26), it will very likely pick up the cotinine metabolite. Most cotinine tests are accurate for 3-4 days after consumption, but depends on how deep the puff, how long you held it etc. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I have been using E-CIG 3mg for awhile and just found out that need to go thru a nicotine test so how many days before I am free of nicotine to pass?
I smoke e cig to aide in quitting- I have a nicotine test coming up coming up in 10 days. Will nicotine be gone. On e-cig 5 days. Modernate smoke?
I would so "no": Usually, 10 days is considered to be the outside time limit to detect nicotine after it has been ingested. However, the tests are very sensitive & depending on age & dose, cotinine (a nicotine metabolite) has been detected as long as 3 months after. Current use of e-cigarettes and/or vaping will very possibly result in positive nicotine tests, though, apparently, not ALL e-cigs contain nicotine. ...Read more
