Chronic dizziness, out of breath, hands shaking, doctor said I have no asthma/anxiety. Help. What could this be. Also severely depressed. I'm begging.
Shaking and dizziness can be a sign of anxiety/
depression and if short of breath, this might
be an acute panic attack. Blow into a paper
bag x 20 breaths and slow your breathing down.
If that improves, the attack will resolve. If the symptoms
worsen, make an appt with a child psychiatrist thru
Health to discuss your symptoms and depression.

I'm currently feeling dizziness, body swaying, head moving on its own, hands shaking, increased heartbeat. What is wrong?
I was nearly fainted 3 times & really fainted 2 times within 3 months. Sudden dizziness, sweating, vision blackout when standing. Often hands shaking.
Low blood pressure: The symptoms you describe are most likely related to low blood pressure. You may have a syndrome called orthostatic hypotension or possibly neurocardiogenic syncope. They are diagnosed and treated differently, but both share the common symptoms you described. Taking your blood pressure lying down, then standing for one minute, than after standing for 5 minutes will help to determine the cause. ...Read more

Hello. I noticed that you have tagged both panic attacks and seizures here. I will start by describing panic attacks. Panic attacks are usually brief. They often last a couple of minutes to around ten minutes. Symptoms can include a sense of severe anxiety or panic as well as chest tightness or pain and a rapid or pounding heartbeat. There could also be areas of numbness or pins and needles type sensation. A person can experience hot flashes or chills and perspire heavily. There may be a tickle sensation in the stomach or nausea. When a person has a panic attack they may feel dizzy or faint and may become physically shaky. The person may fear that they are going crazy, they are out of control or that they are about to die. They may have a sense that they are unreal (a form of dissassociation called depersonalization). The sense that everything in the environment feels abnormal is derealization.
Although what you are describing sounds a lot like a panic attack; it is very important to have a full physical evaluation to rule out the possibility that this a medical problem. I recommend that you be evaluated by your family doctor. He or she may consult with a neurologist. Clearly these episodes feel really bad, so I hope you get a medically evaluated soon. ...Read more
Is it likely to get rubella from shaking hands with someone who might have it but doesn't show any symptoms?
Can you get toxoplasmosis by shaking hands with or coming in contact with someone who has an indoor/outdoor cat and cleans the litter box?
What could be the cause of my shaking hands? My dads hands shake too and he is a smoker but I am not and they get worse when I'm mad or nervous.
Tremors: Is shaking only when hands are in motion or even at rest? . Several causes exist, such as essential tremors, drug-induced, parkinson's, systemic disease, psychogenic (such as stress or lack of sleep), fatigue, too much coffee, low blood sugar, overactive thyroid. Worth getting evaluated to rule out medical causes. Most likely, yours is essential tremor & can be effectively treated. ...Read more
Unlikely: Masturbation is most likely to cause both pleasure & some feelings of guilt, depending a lot on a kids culture. It does not cause neurological symptoms. If a kid finds that they are experiencing some tremor, or fine continuous movements in their hands, they should have their physician look into the process. I'd be looking into an overactive thyroid or other issue as the culprit. ...Read more
Yes: SSRI's have a nasty side effect of causing agitation if you happen to be one of the unlucky ones. After reading about HPV, I have been worried about getting it via holding hands, shaking hands, hugging etc. With friends and all, Shall I be worried?
Not so much: HPV is a family of viruses. Those with the most consequence are the strains associated with sexual transmission.Although there is times when these strains will shed & contaminate various surfaces it appears the STI strains pass only with direct skin to skin contact along with a mechanical or abrasive event. These strains are also site specific, tending to live only on specific genital skin. ...Read more
