Post op: I recommend that you notify the endoscopist who performed your procedures about these symptoms as you are apparently experiencing severe abdominal distress which is not usual after the procedures. I feel you should be examined. Other worrisome symptoms would be fever, abdominal tenderness or distension. ...Read more

Call your doctor.: It is not normal to have lingering symptoms the day after a colonoscopy. It is not clear to me whether the symptoms that you are having are related or not, but it would be prudent to contact your gastroenterologist to discuss them, and to investigate them if they seem to be persistent. Dehydration: It is more likely that you are dehydrated. Drink enough water so that your urine is colorless. You may take a sports drink like Gatorade.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.

See an internist: The weight loss, if over a short period is concerning, if you've traveled recently this could be an intestinal parasite, but the dizziness and tachycardia could be something else when you put the symptoms all together. See a good internist, get a good physical exam, and probably a stool sample, urinalysis, and blood work to see what is causing you troubles, it may not be in your GI tract...Meds? ...Read more

Colonoscopy: It is normal to have irregular bowel movements for several weeks after a colonoscopy. There is no need to take laxatives in this setting. Your best bet is to eat lots of healthy fruits and vegetables and cereals containing fiber, along with more fluid intake, and let your body reestablish your normal bowel patterns.
