Im in pain, left side of my abdomen could this be my diverticulitis acting up again and what shhould I do?

Sigmoidosopy diverticulum & hemorrhoid. Past 2 days diarrhea, blood, mucous, pain left side abd. Today same symptoms, no diarrhea. Diverticulosis?
Sounds urgent: I'm not sure how long this has been going on, but if it's been less than a a week, you should go to an emergency room asap. Even at age 33, diverticulitis is a possibility, as is a tubo-ovarian abscess. If it has present for more than a week, you may be able to sort it out as an outpatient, but don't wait. Check with your doc: Chest pains can come from narrowed arteries in the heart. However this usually occurs with exertion and resolves with rest. A pain in the chest at night could also be from acid reflux or some other GI problem. Or it even could be from some muscular or rib pain. May be rib issues: including muscle spasms causing them to tighten from trauma or postural issues, specific muscle spasms. However, you should be examined to rule out spleen, stomach and even cardiac concerns.
