I dislocated my rib and I play basketball, what could I do to get them to not hurt during games?

Not playing would be: the best advice as otherwise you are reinjuring it again & again. If you do have to play, then do check with your local Orthopod and Some Taping could be done to the affected area to give you some relief, which unfortunately will last only till some one bumps into that area or you hit it with your own hand or elbow. ...Read more

My chiropractor told me I have a dislocated rib. He keeps adjusting it in place but it keeps popping back out. I'm icing it. What should I do next?

Get second opinion: I would see an Orthopedist (Medical Doctor) for a second opinion. Do not recognize "dislocated" when it comes to ribs...Get someone else to look at it

Hope this helps

Should a chiropractor be able to fix a dislocated rib in one visit? I was given a very gentle adjustmt & some PT, and asked to return tomorrow. Legit?

Most of us not chiro: Most MD doctors are not chiropractors, & so it wd b improper for any of us to say. (Like commenting on ur neighbor's mother-in-law, it's not our place). If u get any lasting benefit from it, then I wd say it works for u, and u can keep using it. But again, I am not sure how many of us know what chiropractors do, nor if there is any scientific basis for it. But please let us know how it goes. ...Read more

I recently did a cycle of testosterone and as i work out my kidneys have been hurting alot. Feels like i dislocated ribb. Is it my ribs, or kidneys?

Pulled muscle?: Most common is musculoskeletal reason. Kidney pain is actually much less common than thought to be. It usually hurts more with urination if the origin is kidney e.g. A stone disease. I am not discounting a broken rib but need a history of trauma or very vigorous use of muscles of this area. A point tenderness would support this possibility. Need rest trial with nonsteroidal eg Ibuprofen after meal. ...Read more
