Diseases Caused By Hsv 2
Very unlikely: If the child had obvious neonatal herpes within a month of age (he would have been extremely ill), residual brain damage could result in seizers at age 1 year. But that's much too late for a herpes infection to be the direct cause of seizures. Of course the child should be carefully checked by his pediatriican, but I see no reason for concern about herpes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Wrong question : Even if the probability in % was 1%, there is still a chance to infect your partner. Hsv sheds even without active outbreak. Suggest educating yourself and your partner, use protection (will minimize but not prevent), and suppressive therapy with daily valtrex (valacyclovir). ...Read more
Pos ELISA and neg wb for HIV on 10/23/12. Neg ELISA on 11/16/12 and neg ELISA on 1/31/13. Was the first ELISA a false pos? Can HSV 2 cause false pos?
How effective is Valtrex (valacyclovir) for hsv? What's the update regarding the disease? Any home remedies once an outbreak is shown either for HSV 1 or HSV 2? Thnx
Very effective, yes: Valtrex (valacyclovir) is very effective for treating hsv outbreaks but, like all rx's, is not a cure. Some people with hsv almost never get outbreaks, some get them frequently- the most important factor is your immunity. Healthy diet, stress reduction, a good mulitvitamin & immune-boosting herbs like andrographis &medicinal mushrooms like reishi can help. My favorite home remedy is lemon balm. See comment:. ...Read more
