Ulcers in the stomach can feel worse about three hours after a meal and duodenal ulcers (a little further down than the stomach) can feel better about three hours after a meal. One might experience a drop in appetite with weight loss. There can be a sense of bloating as well as nausea. If the ulcer bleeds it could lead to vomiting up blood.
