I'm 28 yrs old and for years get a fluttering in upper abdomen after eating. Perfect bloodwork and EKG results last month. What could this be?
Unclear: This may be some type of spasm or GI upset. Not any evidence to suggest cardiac disease. This fluttering is not mentioned how frequent but may represent spams of the bowel after eating. Something else that is rare at your age is a type of dumping syndrome One other question is how much caffeine are you taking. Irritable can be evident as fluttering if you are under stress. Discuss with doc ...Read more
I've an almost constant urge to pass stools. Usually a very small amount loose or soft stools, or nothing at all is passed. I also get terrible pain in my upper abdomen after eating anything. Ibs?
IBS: The constant urge school sounds like ibs. The pain in your upper abdomen could be ibs, but I would also wonder if it represents something along the of gastritis or an ulcer. Other possibilities are ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease but you are not passing any blood or mucus so I doubt that the latter two are the case. Please get checked for upper abdominal symptomatology as well. Best wishes. ...Read more
Hi, I'm 27 year old male from texas, and I feel really discomfort in my stomach after eating syrup products, I don't like this why does syrup?
Practically everyone: ...has some food that disagrees with them. Food intolerance is common, variable, & individual. It may even include such innocuous ingestants as water (or, in your case, syrup). Ref: Elaine Shimberg, "Relief From IBS". Assess your threshold--assuming you've experienced no harm from the product, gradually increase exposure to determine the amount of syrup that you can tolerate so not to feel deprived ...Read more

I am getting upper abdomen pain most of the day and after eating food it is reducing. Should I concern about this?
Abdominal pain: Consider evaluation for gastritis/reflux/ H pylori but more so gallbladder as it can be precipitated by fatty food. Rarely may be pancreatic dysfunction if you consume significant alcohol or have cystic fibrosis (which you should know by now) Alternatively you are eating alot and should just eat/drink smaller amounts. F/U with MD/gastroenterologist ...Read more
Abdominal discomfort: It is unusual for over-the-counter antacids to cause abdominal pain. It would probably be more likely that the discomfort is baseline pain, which caused you to take the antacid in the first place, and that the antacid was just not successful in treating it. If your symptoms persist, you should see your doctor. ...Read more

A few things: Including gastritis/ulcers (acid produced when food is ingested); a mass close to stomach (vs lower, in colon); gallstones; intermittent/partial or early intestinal obstruction; pancreatitis (inflammation of pancreas, which secretes protein-eating enzymes). Mildly elevated SGOT:
There are many possible causes for this from a mild virus, medications, chronic hepatitis, etc. The liver test should be monitored in the near future.
As for the gas and decreased stool volume, this may be evidence of simple constipation, even though what you make is loose. It is possible these 2 problems are related. C ur doc soon to follow up on the liver test and discus your symptoms. ...Read more

Recently have had stomach discomfort along with some diarhea. And stomach pain after eating large meal?
Some thoughts...: If this has come on recently, it could be a viral illness that's causing the stomach discomfort along with diarrhea. These usually last for about a week and get better on their own. I'd see your doctor if you're having fevers > 3 days, increasing pain, bloody diarrhea, severe nausea or vomiting, or this isn't improving after about a week. Hope you feel better soon! ...Read more
