Time: X-rays only show bony abnormalities therefore there could be come other soft tissue injury or inflammation going on. You did not give enough detail for a diagnosis. Time and relative rest are best at this time. If not better in a few more weeks then a trial of physical therapy may help. ...Read more

NOT to worry: but I would ask your Primary Care Provider if perhaps an ECHO (Ultrasound) of your Deep Veins in the calves is indicated! Hope this helps! BTW EDS is not a factor in my opinion ...Read more

Leg pain: from the history, I agree that a deep vein thrombosis is unlikely, as there is no associated swelling, and from your description the discomfort is localized. This raises the issue of a knee related issue, perhaps a popliteal (Baker's) cyst. If you are concerned, then a venous duplex ultrasound would be a great test to determine if you have any venous thrombosis, and possibly the cyst. ...Read more

Can't say for sure: there can be many reasons- joint, cartilage but usually not both knees or soft tissue like Tendonitis or bursitis. If there is joint swelling suggests arthritis and be swelling from bursitis and tendinitis also. You need to see your physician to help clarify what the problem is. ...Read more

Swelling?: Sounds like the knee is swollen and the tightness is because of the fluid in the joint. I would have a doctor (Urgent care or PCP) check it out and determine what should be done and how to treat the discomfort. ...Read more

What is more important is the overall trend of your recovery. Not likely: Hematoma in the leg would not cause knee problems.

Knee pain etiologies: There are multiple origins for knee pain. If you've already been diagnosed with chrondromalacia patella in one limb, that would be a likely possibility for the other (softening of the cartilage) can signal blood flow changes to the subchondral bone plate under the cartilage and future fibrillation and destruction.
