I punched a cabinet at work 3 days ago, I still have major discoloration and pain on my hand, should I see a doctor?
Seems unlikely.: Intermittent swelling is not characteristic of DVT since a clot would cause continuous swelling. Also upper extremity DVT is not as common as lower extremity DVT and usually is associated with an inciting event such as trauma, tumor, an IV or thoracic outlet syndrome. My fingernails hurt when i wash hands in warm water. No discoloration or visible problems. If i put on nail polish i don't feel pain.

Dermatology: Without seeing it in person, it's really hard to give you an accurate diagnosis on what it is, but I think it's probably a god sign that it doesn't hurt or bleed or cause you many problems.
