Discharge After Using Monistat 1
It can be: The cream used to cure the yeast infection is designed to stick around for a while, because you get a much higher dose of medication at once rather than smaller amounts over a longer period of time. It still takes a full 7 days for your body to recover. Some women even have irritation due to the medication that can slow healing, even after the infection is controlled. If not better in a week, C MD ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
Discharge can be a noun or a verb; it has multiple meanings in physics, chemistry, military, and legal usage. The most common medical meaning is a substance that is being excreted. After using monistat 1 the night before, I woke up with my underwear soaked with a clear discharge. Should I be alarmed?
Other infection?: It could just be the yeast cream liquifying and coming out. However, it's also possible you have something other than yeast. The main yeast symptom is itching and irritation, not discharge. If you have unexplained vaginal discharge, other infections (especially STDs) are likely. If any doubt at all, see a doctor or clinic ASAP. Good luck! ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

I had a yeast infection. Burning, itching. Especially after intercourse. Took Monistat 1. No discharge before but have had it since (took2daysago)?
A few days: It takes a few days sometimes for the anti-fungal medication to be effective. Be sure to refrain from intercourse while you're treating the yeast infection as sex can make it more painful and harder to heal. I typically recommend the 5 or 7 day antifungal as sometimes the 1 or 3 day treatment isn't enough. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
I used metro gel for bv and noticed white clumpy discharge soon after finishing. I assumed it was a yeast infection because I've had these in the past and read this was a side effect. I bought over the counter monistat 1. I'm on day 2 and still have white
Probably not yeast: The main symptom of vaginal yeast is itching or irritation, not discharge -- and a little "white clumpy discharge" isn't necessarily abnormal. So my best guess is that you didn't have a yeast infection, which is why the Monistat isn't making any difference. Stop all treatment for several days, then see a doctor for if you believe discharge still is abnormal. And no sex in the meantime. Good luck! ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
Pink discharge after missing a birth control pill and what I think is a yeast infection.Took Monistat 1 30 hrs ago and itching is better but not gone?
Be patient, takes 3d: First, please remember to take the missed pill ASAP. While monistat 1 is a 1 dose treatment, it really takes 3 days to work. I generally like the longer treatment which includes the cream that can be applied externally. The other possibility, is that you don't have what you thought. I feel it acceptable to treat when you KNOW, but if you THINK, see your doctor. Good luck ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
