Discharge After Pelvic Exam Normal
Itching at the opening of the vagina almost 1 month. Pelvic exam normal pap test and swab test normal no discharge no odor just itching. Any ideas??
Could potentially be: herpes, though I am not sure you are at risk for this. You can see your doctor to have the test performed since you are having symptoms (often itching/burning can occur). Other causes could include allergic irritation from any products you use around your vagina (maxi-pad, detergent from panties, etc). Hope this helps.See 1 more doctor answer
Physical exam involving examination of the outside of the female genitalia (vulva), the inside (vagina), as well as an examination of the cervix, uterus, tubes, ovaries, and tissue around the uterus (parametria). A bimanual exam then involves 2 fingers in the vagina with the other hand on the abdomen. A rectovaginal exam is one finger inthe vagina, one finger in the rectum with ...Read more
What does a dark brown discharge after a pelvic exam that later turned into a clear mucus discharge mean?
Bloody discharge: The pelvic exam, especially if it included a pap smear, may have caused a small amount of bleeding from the cervix which then appeared to be a short term brown discharge. The clear mucous discharge was probably normal "fertile mucous". The discharge you are describing is common after an exam and does not mean you have a problem.See 1 more doctor answer
What could explain a dark brown discharge that later turned into a clear mucus discharge following a pelvic exam?
Taking a pap smear: Scraping the surface of the cervix to take a pap smear sometimes causes a little spotting that you may see in the next few days as a brown discharge. The clear mucous discharge may be a return to normal, especially if you are midcycle and having "fertile mucous". I would not be concerned unless the brown discharge recurs or persists or develops an odor.
I've had beige vaginal discharge for the past 24 hours. I had a pelvic exam 5 days ago during which I bled from cervix. Could this be related?
Yes likely: If you had bleeding during your pelvic exam then yes it is likely the discharge is related to the bleeding and will likely resolve on its on.
I have had a pelvic exam and was told I have white bumps on my cervix. Now I have yellowish discharge, pain in cervix and in my armpit.?
Cannot diagnose: Ask the doctor who did your pelvic exam what is going on. Call and let them know what new symptoms you are having. They should be able to see you and examine you and evaluate the situation, whereas cannot do that over the internet.
I have doc's appt soon. If I say I have bloody discharge for a week, do I have to take pelvic exam? I don't want to. I'm on birth control pill.
Why: If you have bloody discharge, it may be from a disturbance of the internal female anatomy like uterine cancer. If you hide the truth from your doc, the potential outcome can be fatal. If you exclude the proper exams from the evaluation process, you do the same thing. If you want the best care possible, tell the truth and discuss the process of evaluation with your doc. He/she may not need to.

Help im virgin suffering vaginal &anus itching vaginal discharge varying white &yellow color odorless my gyn diagnosed it as pinworms no pelvic exam!
Have exam done: It would be helpful for the MD to actually see the area of infestation to provide a proper treatment. Get a 2nd opinion elsewhere.
I have milky slightly yellow and sour smelling vaginal discharge. I have has pelvic exams/swabs and pregnancy tests done all negative. What could itbe?
Vaginal pH: The natural vaginal ph is acidic and so it is expected for its normal secretions to be sour. However, copious yellow discharge is likely abnormal but I don't know how to counsel you unless I know exactly what you'd been tested for. Gonorrhea, chlamydia, bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas, and yeast are all things you should've been tested for; please verify.
Entirely yes: Any paps or samples taken from scraping the cervix can stir up bleeding from the mucous lining. Also just the pressure of the speculum can do the same. If, however, it lasts more than two or three days there is probably another reason and you should check back with your gyn.
I had a pelvic exam, first one, after procedure, I was told I spotted a little, is that normal? I had no spotting since.
Don't worry: Listen to your doctor who said it is ok.
Yes: And vice versa. It depends on who you go to.
Yes: Any type of manipulation of your uterus could cause reflex cramping.

Probably: If they removed polyps, it's not unusual to have spotting for a few days.

Sometimes: Most women tolerate the discomfort of a pelvic exam without these symptoms, but for some women this can occur and may be due to what is caused a vaso-vagal reaction. Rest and fluids may help.

Had a full pelvic exam& pap came back normal once a week I have a extremely painful feeling like something is squeezing my ovaries could this be pof?
Sounds intestinal: While gynecological causes certainly are possible this sounds more like an intestinal problem. You certainly could ask for a repeat pelvic exam and an ultrasound to make sure. Then schedule a visit with a gastroenterologist or primary care doctor for a full evaluation.
