They were once a prescription med that eventually made it to OTC status. Over time, we realized more kids were self medicating and ending up in the ER with toxic overdoses. Yes: Some oral meds actually decrease the risk of miscarriage. Others do carry some risk and will need to be changed. There is also a chance that you will need to be put on insulin at some point in the pregnancy but you can with close monitoring have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Depends...: Do you mean brom-fed dm? And what anxiety med are you taking? The brom-fed cough syrup can make you drowsy as can some anxiety meds. Cold medicines: Not a drop! Dimetapp and any of otc cold and cough medications do not help relieve symptoms, are useless, money-waster and can cause unwanted bad side effects in your 4yo. The best approach?
