A : A heart rate of 48-52 is not concerning as long as you are not having symptoms associated with it (shortness of breath, dizziness, chest discomfort, fatigue). If you are using your fingers or machine to check your pulse and if you are in afib, it is also possible that you may not be picking up all your heartbeats because of the irregular rhythm. Are there any interactions between Petadolex and Diltiazem?

Are there any interactions between Petadolex and Diltiazem?

Unlikely: Petadolex is purified butterbur, and is not likely to cause problems with metabolism of a calcium channel blocker in most patients. Am unaware of any issues secondary to this combination, unless there is a rare cytochrome mutation which would affect metabolism in the liver, well under 5% of all patients. So, do not worry. ...Read more

- How can I read my 24hr HOLTER test results? - Can the HOLTER results be accurate while I'm taking 60 mg of diltiazem 3 times a day?

- How can I read my 24hr HOLTER test results?
- Can the HOLTER results be accurate while I'm taking 60 mg of diltiazem 3 times a day?

Not easy 2 read repo: The Holter tracing is complex, & wd be difficult for a lay person 2 read. The Cardiologist who ordered the test shd either issue a report or get a report from whomever is interpreting the tracings. The Holter only monitors the heart rhythm- it's used 4 diagnosis or chking meds. If it is meant for Dx, then any treatment is a confounder; however, it can show if the treatment (diltiazem) is working. ...Read more
