Chemists do ask question when I tried to buy a condom. He asked me if I want 0.2 or different one. Throw light on sizes of condom please. Is it thickness?

Some variety: Most condoms range between 0.04 - 0.06 millimeters of thickness...Not sure what your pharmacist was talking about. There are several "ultra thin" condoms on the market that work well, supposedly have the benefit of more sensation for the male, and are considered "safe". Most important - use one! Most condoms are outside of the pharmacy area - review them and try a variety. Good question! ...Read more

My 8 year old ahad pizza with different cheeses and now jihe has a stomachache, states he wants to throw up? What can I do?

Nausea: Your question suggests you think the cheese is the culprit. It also maybe coincidental and he had a virus. The fear of vomiting is often worse than the real thing. Poss. Eating different Changed my sodium levels? Been 120's for yrs! I didn't want another med/dr appt. 8wks later it's now 137! Can it raise that fast

Occasionally: Sodium levels in the 120 range are abnormal and can be caused by losing sodium or retaining too much water or by certain glandular abnormalities like Addison's disease or inappropriate ADH (vasopressin) secretion. Your hyponatremia can be corrected by reducing fluid intake, receiving sodium chloride or taking cortisone. An endocrinologist is best qualified to answer this question, however. ...Read more

How does 0.1 mg florinef (fludrocortisone) work differently or similarly to 1 tsp salt in gatorade? And wil florinef (fludrocortisone) retain as much sodium as the sodium in gatorade?

How does 0.1 mg florinef (fludrocortisone) work differently or similarly to 1 tsp salt in gatorade? And wil florinef (fludrocortisone) retain as much sodium as the sodium in gatorade?

Complicated: That is a complicated answer. Florinef (fludrocortisone) is a mineralocorticoid (a steroid) that prevents loss of sodium into the urine. So if you are prescribed Florinef (fludrocortisone) you likely have a salt losing kidney issue. So if you in fact do have that problem the salt that you take in will be excreted into the urine and will not help expand your blood volume. ...Read more

Wen 2 introduce baby pacifier n wen 2 throw it away, 2 njoy more pros than cons? I read d pros n cons over internet. Or is it gud not 2 use pacifier?

Pacifiers help: Reduce sids and satisfy babies' need to suck. As they get older, they become a type of security blanket. There are recommendations not to start them before breast milk is established. I have never seen a pacifier interfere with breast feeding, so starting as young as you want is fine. The oldest they should have one is when it starts to misshape the teeth. That is usually from 2-4 years. ...Read more

Could you throw a two month old in the air?

Could you throw a two month old in the air?

Not recommended: Babies at this age do not have good neck and back control, so they may be injured from this sort of activity. Also, 2 month olds need to feel secure and stable. They startle and become upset when they lose that feeling of stability. It would not be at all fun for the baby. I wouldn't recommend it at this age. ...Read more

Is it safe to gently throw my baby in the air and catch her?

Is it safe to gently throw my baby in the air and catch her?

No: It is not safe to throw a child in the air and catch them. The vertebral blood vessels are fragile and when they come down as you catch them it causes a small snap in the neck that can tear these vessels. It is fine to lift them in the air to give that buoyant sensation as long as you do not release the child. Be aware of any head snapping back. ...Read more

My 19-month old son throws up every time he coughs. Please help!?

Not unusual: The muscle activity used to cough are similar to those used in vomiting. Younger toddlers may have difficulty separating the two actions & a particularly harsh cough is more likely to end up this way. Keeping the kid hydrated & avoiding meds (antihistamines) that thicken secretions making it harder to cough up phlegm can help. The kid will gain better control as he gets older. ...Read more
