Possibly. Depends.: You don't say how much of the leptopril you're taking. Here's a nice summary of leptopril: http://sabah-karimi.Hubpages.Com/hub/leptopril-for-fat-loss--what-you-should-know it has lots of stimulants, which could add to the effect of the adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). Leptopril is not proven to be either safe or effective. I'd suggest working with a nutritionist ove spending your money on an unproven product. ...Read more

Overweight (Definition)

Nearly two-thirds of the United States population is overweight. There are many ways to determine if a person is overweight, but experts believe that a person's body mass index (BMI) is the best way to assess an adult's weight in relation to their height. * A BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered normal. * Adults with a BMI between 25 and 29.9 are considered overweight. There are exceptions. For example, an athlete may have a higher BMI but not be overweight. * Adults with a BMI greater than 30 are considered obese. * Adults with a BMI greater than or equal to 40 are considered extremely obese. * Anyone more than 100 pounds overweight is considered morbidly obese. A person with a high BMI may have a normal amount of body fat is they have ...Read more

Effective parenting: Please get some guidance about managing what you allow your daughter to eat. Being a mother is very difficult but the rewards for doing a good job are the best life offers. Every doctor here will agree that health should come first from lifestyle and building habits rather than out of a pill bottle. Please do the work that a mother must do. ...Read more

Needs medical eval.: Nausea and decreased appetite can be symptoms of many underlying disorders, both physical and emotional. Your husband needs a complete evaluation with medical history, physical examination and probably screening laboratory tests. If nothing physical is found, exploration of mental health issues should be done as well, since depression/anxiety can do this. Pot may be part of problem as well. ...Read more

2lb/month for 1 year: Helpful weight loss diets have natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery, and iceberg lettuce (little/no salad dressing). When shopping for fruits, buy small ones no bigger than a tennis ball, because fruits have sugar. Drinks without calories include water and green tea. A calorie is a calorie, but surely avoid sugar & simple starch calories. ...Read more

Is someone at 5'5, 16 years old, and weighing 90-91 pounds normal, overweight, or underweight?

Is someone at 5'5, 16 years old, and weighing 90-91 pounds normal, overweight, or underweight?

15.1: The text that goes with the bmi chart probably defines underweight to be 18.5 or less. The bmi was a population measure that was not intended to be applied to individuals; in real science, waist size correlates much better with cardiac risk. Junor may want to build muscle doing aerobic / resistance training but many track stars are "underweight". If he can do sports, his weight's probably ok. ...Read more
