I'm very short and i found out I have celiac disease. Can following a gluten free diet increase my height growth?
Depends on situation: Linear growth is ossible as long as the growth centers in the long bones are still open .Once they have closed after puberty, linear growth is done. Id cd is found and treated early enough, before the growth centers close then some catch up growth is possible. Some cd patients have unrecognized cross sensitivity to other foods that cam hamper improvement.(egg, milk, chocolate, etc.). ...Read more
I wanna know what kind of diet is appropriate to increase my height. I'm 5' 11'' n i'm satisfied with it but i just want a lil bit of increase. ?
Reg Excercize & Food: At your age you still have some chances of growing and getting taller. I do not think a special diet will help increase height. A regular regimen of excersize and a good normal diet with some extra proteins will help you maintain good health and in my opinion that will maximize your growth potential. Not worrying too much about it will also help. Wishing you the best. ...Read more
My age 19 yrs. I wanted to know if there are any exercises to increase height. I do take a good diet. I m 5'11 from past two years.
You are likely done: If you entered puberty the same time as your friends and your bone maturity is that of a 19 yo there is little you can do to increase your height.A single x-ray of your left hand can be assessed for bone maturity. If 19, you are done growing, if bony maturity is more like 15 you might grow an additional couple of inches. There are no magic solutions if your growth centers r closed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is there any way to increase height. My dad is 5'11 and my mom is 5'5. I'm 5'8 but would love to be at least 6'0. Any diets that could help.
Unable to add Height: Once yon have reached puberty it is impossible to increase your height. If you are unsure of your bone age you get obtain a simple x-ray to see if your bones indicated you have stopped growing. If you were 12-13 ys old it would have been possible to take growth hormone Adding 4 inch, i doubt,. I'm 5'5" and i'm 16 years old. I don't want any medicine. Is there any way to increase height by doing sports or by some diet?
No: Only while the growth plates are still open, does height increase. This will be regardless of additional supplements, though healthy diet is important. Most 16 year-old boys are nearly done growing. A bone age x-ray of the left hand can determine how much growth is left. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Not possible: If your height has been the same for the past 2 years, which usually happens at the end of puberty and usually well before age 20, the growth plates in your bones have fused and it is not possible to gain height anymore. Having short stature in a culture that thinks big is better can be hard, but find ways of focusing on your other assets and your personality. Depressed? Please see counselor. ...Read more
