High triglycerides: How high? Over 1,000? 500 300 or what? First time Dxed? What other lipid numbers do you have ? What other meds if any are u on? Does it run on your family? My recommendation is to first retest in few weeks after no alcohol if you drink. Then get the DASH diet book and try it for 2 weeks and recheck. If not normal then may need to consider meds.
