Low protein because.: Prtein breakdown products include urea, which a sick or cirrhotic liver cannot reove. High levels of urea affect brain function adversely. As far as supplements for the liver, milk thistle may be of value, but I do not beleive any are of great value! ...Read more

Fatty infiltration and fatty liver are usually the same; however, in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) we typically see elevated liver enzymes, cholesterol, insulin resistance, and other changes.
