Nutritarian healthy: I have never heard of a "nitritarian" diet but dr. Joel fuhrman's nutritarian is the diet I recommend most to my patients. It's a superb diet not only for weight loss but for maintaining optimal health. Even if you don't follow it exactly, if you eat like this most of the time you will benefit. So yes, 2 thumbs up for this diet! See http://www. Drfuhrman. Com/library/what-is-a-nutritarian-diet. Aspx. ...Read more

No.: In and of itself, the water diet does nothing to increase health. Set aside the questionable weight loss. The water diet explicitly says you can still eat what you want as long as you ingest 64oz of cold water. So if you were having fast food all day before the water diet, you'd be eating just as unhealthily while on the diet. ...Read more
Controversial: This is a topic that I don't think there is a straightforward answer for! A vegetarian diet can be healthy because you lower your saturated fat intake from animal fat! However, it is not the end all answer to eating healthy! I have encountered many obese vegetarians and vegetarians with terrible cholestrol panels. I believe a well balanced diet with lean meets can be just as healthy or healthier! ...Read more

It depends: It depends on what kind of "diet" you're talking about, and what you mean by "cheat day." if you've shifted your food plan to a healthy one that you can enjoy & maintain at least 90% of the time, you won't have cravings. You might want to review your food plan with a nutritionist or integrative medicine physician. Following this is your choice. If it gives good results, you'll likely want to! ...Read more

I'm on a diet and I work out every weekday and I wanna eat healthy any meals. Any recommendations?
Is the juice diet healthy? You do it 6 times a day and only drink the juice you make out of multiple fruites and veggies. How long is okay for this
This can be healthy: If you add in protein - rice protein is easily digested. Cleanses of this type are often done for 3 days or a little longer. Shouldn't be done without knowledge of what you are doing. For instance - do you know if it is ok to juice apple seeds? What rinds can be juiced and which shouldn't be? How do you clean vegetables. Too many fruit juices can be too much sugar. Juices must be freshly juiced. ...Read more

Must supplement: I admire vegans who undertake this for moral reasons, and some of them claim to feel much healthier. Is a vegan diet healthy for kids? I became a vegetarian when I was a young teenager. More recently I turned vegan because I was having health problems caused by dairy. Because I became a vegetarian when I was so young, I never learned how to cook meat. I
Whether to eat meat or dairy is a personal choice. With that said - to have a balanced diet, a vegan needs to have a significant knowledge base. Vegan diets are often low on vitamin b 12, calcium, vitamin d, iron and other nutrients. If these are not obtained through the diet, there needs to be appropriate forms of supplementation. If you plan to raise your children as vegans, I really suggest you thoroughly educate yourself on the matter. It takes much more careful planning for your kids to fill their nutritional requirements if they are vegans. I would also suggest you work with a good nutritionist, to ensure that children's nutritional requirements are met. A possible option could be a primarily vegan diet with some dairy and /or meat supplementation. Raising children on a vegan diet is not child abuse. It can however, be trickier than a vegetarian diet or eating that includes fish and meat.
If you are not vegan based on moral issues and your main concern is about cooking separate meals- how about making the same basic meals for the whole family and augmenting the children's meals to ensure that their intake is balanced? ...Read more

Diets do help but life style changes are best. Make sure your thyroid medicine, estrogen and other hormones are balanced. An endocrinologist would be a great specialist to see first. Then mentally you need to take time for yourself and excercise and see a nutritionist. Set a goal and be committed. Eat smaller portions and learn to say no to wine, sugar and breads. You could also seek advise at your local metabolic center. Keep trying and feel good in your body whatever your results and efforts should give you. Good luck. ...Read more
