Diarrhea/ gas: Keep a food diary may be food intolerances- can develop even after years. Consider avoiding dairy for a week .May be related to diabetes -neuropathy or medications (like metformin) Also since 51 consider colonoscopy . This may also help with identifying any patterns, especially if certain foods are being eaten or certain stressors encountered frequently when the bouts are especially bad. A number of them: B"sd putting it backwards metformin, glip1 agents (byetta. victoza (liraglutide) etc), ddp4 (januvia, tradgenta etc), 1 glucosidase (precose etc) can all give diarhea. Welchol (bile acid resin binder) gives constipation. degree of GI intolerence varies enormously. other classes have only rare GI issues. ...Read more
