Why would dairy cause me acid reflux ? I excluded dairy from my diet and acid reflux stopped. Dairy again gave me so much reflux, I didn't sleep ! Ty.

Several: There are several diet changes that can help with reflux and some of this can depend greatly on the person. Some people will get reflux with certain foods that never bother many others. Would recommend you call your physician for general advice specific for you. Certainly can decrease tomato paste and acidic and spicy foods in the meantime as a trial. Not really: Reflux results from ring of muscle at lower end of esophagus relaxing & allowing acidic food to reflux up esophagus. Fried/greasy food, spicy food, acidic food, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, carbonated drinks, meds like calcium channel blockers/nsaids etc can all exacerbate reflux.
