Did Pink Get A Breast Implants
Yes: If you are due to have a screening mammogram or are between the ages of 35 and 40 and have never had a mammogram, i encourage all my patients to get their mammograms before having breast augmentation done, even 4 days before. That's why we do screening tests. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers

Yes: Yes but i would wait at least one month after the surgery, after you are completely healed and swelling starts to come down. Make sure you get this done in a clean, respectable place in a sterile fashion, remember you have a prosthetic implant in that if you get a nipple infection you can potentially infect the implant. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Not needed: + advise: It is not absolutely necessary but i would advise that you truly consider removal, removal with replacement (larger or smaller or transition from saline to silicone or vice versa) or removal and fat transfer. There are many options for this and they should be discussed with a board certified plastic surgeon. ...Read moreSee 8 more doctor answers

If a woman gets breastcancer and had to have her breast removed would breast implants look natural enough?
Most common approach: After mastectomy for breast cancer, breast reconstruction with implants is the most common type of approach. Typically a tissue expander is placed first to stretch the chest wall tissue to accomodate an implant later although less commonly it can be placed right away. Although a very satisfactory option, the breasts may not appear "natural". Other options involve using body tissue. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Most of the time yes: Often a skin sparing or nipple sparing mastectomy can be performed, which saves all or most of the skin. The breast can be reconstructed often at the time of mastectomy by using an implant, or by using a woman's own fatty tissue from the abdomen or back. Ask your breast surgeon if you are a candidate for immediate reconstruction, and to refer you to a plastic surgeon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I just had breast aug. in dec. one looks bigger then the other and they look sagging. I went from 400cc saline implant to silicone 650. my surgeon did?
I had a breast implant surgery and a tummy tuck in 2008. Can i get pregnant with the implant and tummy tuck or should I get the implants removed before getting pregnant?
Maybe: It's not the implants that have changes it's the rest of your native breast tissue. The implants are likely behind the pectoralis/chest wall muscle while the overlyiing breast tissue grows and starts making milk during the pregnancy. Any sagging or changes after nursing will be the breast tissue itself not the implant. You would need to go back to your plastic surgeon for evaluation. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers

Pregnancy & breasts: I typically recommend patients wait for about 6 months after giving birth or stopping breastfeeding prior to having breast surgery. We want the breasts to be at a steady state so we really know what we are working with & want to be sure that any remaining milk doesn't affect the results. If surgery is done too soon & breasts cont to change, we may need to redo the surgery! No good! ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

What exactly does a breast reconstruction tissue expander do? It's been almost a year since my mastectomy. During my breast reconstruction consultation, my surgeon mentioned using a tissue expander to make room for my new breast. How does this work?
It Expands..: After a mastectomy, assuming you are going to have an implant reconstruction, a space needs to be created to accomodate a soft implant. A tissue expander is like a deflated balloon that the doctor pumps up in their office (usually weekly) afte putting it in flat. It creates the space for a permanent implant to be put later. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Have you ever had silicone implants after a mastectomy and wanted to go bigger? Is that possible?
No I have not: But a patient wanting a larger breast implant is not uncommon. It is best to discuss this with the surgeon who placed the original implants. He would be the best to recommend whether he thinks you would be a candidate for this or not. It may require tissue expanders to stretch the skin more before going to a larger implant. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Textured vs smooth silicone gel implants I have small breasts, size aa, and do not have too much breast tissue, my plastic surgeon recommended I use textured because i will getting my implants done abroad in s. Korea and will not have time to receive mass
Controversial: Textured implants are popular in europe but not widely used in the usa except for anatomic or cohesive gel shaped implants. They act like velcro and maintain the position of the implant and are associated with a lower risk of capsular contracture. However there may be concerns with traction rippling and in very thin patients, textured implants tend to be more palpable. ...Read moreSee 7 more doctor answers
