I would recommend: you contact her pediatrician to discuss and possibly have an exam if it continues. Watch for vomiting, fever, abdominal pain or blood in the stool. Is anyone else ill? Go to the ER!: Black coffee grounds in the stool or in vomiting are signs of fairly recent bleeding, usually in the upper digestive tract. Diarrhea: Dark, tarry stools can be worrisome. Diarrhea with nausea over 4 days see MD, over 3 episodes per day. What was your colonoscopy like at 50? If abdominal pain or cramping involved or left lower quadrant pain diverticular disease could be to blame if pain see MD ASAP. Be examined: with a stool analysis to sort out the cause of your diarrhea. A history of infectious contact, travel, fast food or recent use so antibiotics may help. This would be diagnosed in more detail by culturing the stool to determine the specific bacteria or other agent causing this. So it could be that the antibiotic you are on is incorrect.
