Something bad: U r likely 2 have a food poisoning or a parasite infection & u need 2 c an infectious disease specialist now. It could b a viral infection also, which runs it's course but bacterial & sepsis is treatable, so get 2 1 now! some r life threatening. ...Read more

Get stool checked: Most cases of traveler's diarrhea clear up quickly after return. If you are still having symptoms after 3 weeks, there may be a more serious problem, or one that needs treatment. Food born illness: This sounds extremely suspicious for a food-born diarrheal illness. Many times these are bacterial, but even so are often self-limiting. I would encourage you to get a stool sample collected for culture, including toxigenic E.coli, and have doctor order to get those incubating. It takes 2-3 days to get results, and by then you'll know if son getting better or worse. If sicker sooner, go to ER. ...Read more
